Meanwhile, the San José-San Juan route, operating from Juan Santamaría International Airport to Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport, will provide 1,080 seats per week through three weekly flights. This connection aims to enhance access for Costa Ricans visiting Puerto Rico and attract more Puerto Rican tourists to Costa Rica.

Rolando Damas, Avianca’s Director of Sales for North America, Central America, and the Caribbean, expressed excitement about the expansion. “We are thrilled to continue expanding our direct routes in a key market like Costa Rica,” Damas said. “Our goal is to bring travelers closer to the destinations they dream of.”
