Tourism Malaysia, in partnership with the Sandakan Tourism Association (STAN), has launched a new brochure directory, “A Guide to Sandakan”, to promote travel to Sabah and support the Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) campaign.
The launch event took place at the Motac Bersama Komuniti program in Bandar Ramai-Ramai, with the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture (Motac), Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan, officiating the launch on Saturday.
The event was also attended by Karamunting Assemblyman Datuk George Hiew Vun Zin, Motac Secretary General Datuk Shaharuddin Abu Sohot, Director of Tourism Malaysia Sabah Haryanty Abu Bakar, STAN President Chee Kim Teo, along with local leaders and other dignitaries.
Khairul stated that the directory brochure is an important tool for encouraging both domestic and international visitors to plan their holidays or weekend getaways to Sandakan.
