The South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC) has become an executive partner of the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) in Australasia, joining the wider cruise industry community that includes cruise lines, travel agents, ports, destinations, and tourism operators.
This partnership follows the creation of the South Australian Government’s Cruise Attraction Working Group last year, which focuses on expanding cruise tourism in the state and increasing the number of ships visiting Adelaide and nearby destinations.
CLIA Managing Director for Australasia, Joel Katz, expressed that the partnership would enhance South Australia’s visibility within the cruise industry and among CLIA’s 6,000 travel agent members across Australia and New Zealand.
