More than 1,000 mainland tourists have taken advantage of the “group-in, group-out” travel policy between Hengqin and Macao, according to recent figures released by the Economic Development Bureau of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin.

The policy, which launched approximately three months ago, has seen the certification of 31 travel agencies as “Hengqin-Macao Tour Group” operators. These agencies facilitate multiple trips for tourists traveling between Hengqin and Macao, focusing on both tourism and consumption.

The National Immigration Administration of China introduced new measures on May 6, 2024, allowing participants in the “Hengqin-Macao Tour Group” program to travel between Hengqin and Macao repeatedly under the “group-in, group-out” policy.
