Turkish Airlines to Fly Non-Stop Sydney-Istanbul from 2026

by Mary

Turkish Airlines has announced plans to introduce a non-stop Sydney to Istanbul service in late 2026, utilizing the long-range Airbus A350-1000. The new route is expected to transform travel between Australia and Europe by offering a seamless connection to the airline’s extensive global network.

With Istanbul as a hub, travelers will gain access to over 340 destinations across 130 countries. Turkish Airlines currently serves 110 European destinations—more than any other airline worldwide—making it an ideal choice for reaching smaller airports like Bologna and Marseille. This eliminates the need for additional connecting flights, enabling more efficient two-stop journeys to many European cities.

The upcoming service offers Australian travelers a convenient and comprehensive gateway to Europe, enhancing accessibility and cutting travel times for those heading to lesser-served destinations.
