JetBlue has announced plans to cut several domestic routes across the United States, including several from New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) to major cities such as Austin, Houston, Miami, and Milwaukee. Other routes affected by the cuts include flights from Westchester, New York, to Charleston, South Carolina, and between Jacksonville and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
In addition, the airline is discontinuing all flights from San Jose, and will no longer offer service between JFK and London Gatwick. Some routes will also see changes, including the Boston to Phoenix route, which will now be seasonal, operating only during the winter months.
JetBlue confirmed that these changes will not impact holiday travel for 2024, and will take effect in 2025. Customers affected by the cancellations will have the option to rebook on alternate flights or receive a refund where no alternate routes are available.
