Klook Travel Fest Draws Over 10,000 Attendees with Gamified Experience and Travel Deals

Sydney, Australia — The inaugural Klook Travel Fest took place on Saturday, November 30, at Carriageworks, attracting over 10,000 attendees for an immersive and gamified travel experience. Hosted by TV personality Faustina ‘Fuzzy’ Agolley, the event offered a fresh twist on the traditional travel expo, featuring interactive games, travel discounts, prizes, and insights from industry experts.

The event, Klook’s first consumer-focused offline gathering in Australia, was themed around 90s console games, with guests participating in a variety of virtual destination and experience-themed challenges. Attendees could explore multiple ‘worlds’ and take part in activities like Hong Kong’s dumpling toss or an alien elimination game set in the Nevada desert. Hundreds of prizes were awarded throughout the day, including travel vouchers to destinations such as Vietnam, Japan, Thailand, and Malaysia.

“We were thrilled to see so many people flock to each ‘world’ and engage with the fun and games,” said Diana Vidovic, Klook’s Director of Oceania Marketing. “It was amazing to witness both adults and kids getting involved in the activities, and the excitement was palpable. With over 8,300 travel offers redeemed through the Klook app and more than 1,300 prizes collected on-site, we couldn’t be more pleased with how the event turned out.”

The event also saw strong engagement through Klook’s app, with thousands of special travel offers being redeemed, and attendees taking home travel-related prizes.

After the day’s activities, the event culminated in an adults-only after-dark session, which featured nostalgic 90s DJ tunes, cocktails, and food from popular vendors Cultured Crust and Satay Brothers.

Klook’s Travel Fest was backed by several headline partners, including Disneyland California Resort and Walt Disney World, as well as tourism boards from Hong Kong, Korea, Los Angeles, and Nevada. Additional support came from airlines like AirAsia, Jetstar, and VietJet, as well as travel brands such as American Tourister and Bali Buddies.

Vidovic hinted that next year’s Klook Travel Fest will be even bigger and more exciting. “We’re already gearing up for next year’s event, and we can’t wait to bring an even bigger and better experience to our fans,” she added.
