Juneau explained, “Automations will handle mundane tasks, allowing travel managers to focus on audits and identifying fraud or errors.”
Despite the rapid adoption of AI, Juneau noted that employees may remain cautious about its use in business processes. A survey by SAP Concur revealed that 95% of business travelers would consider using AI-powered automation to assist with tasks. However, AI will act as a helpful tool rather than a full solution for tasks like booking travel or submitting expenses.
Finally, SAP Concur anticipates a growing demand for better user experiences in travel management systems. As business travel volumes rise, travelers will expect real-time updates on disruptions, such as extreme weather or geopolitical events. Juneau expects this demand for enhanced duty of care to shape organizational strategies in 2025.
