Sabre Corporation, a leading provider of software and technology solutions for the global travel industry, has extended its long-standing distribution agreement with Qantas, Australia’s largest airline. This multi-year partnership ensures continued access to Qantas’ extensive travel content, including its New Distribution Capability (NDC) offerings, for travel agencies worldwide.
Kathryn Robertson, Qantas’ Executive Manager of Global Sales & Distribution, emphasized the importance of the collaboration in enhancing the airline’s retail capabilities. “Our ongoing relationship with Sabre is integral to our distribution strategy. It allows us to offer agencies greater flexibility and choice while ensuring travelers can seamlessly shop, book, and manage their journeys through NDC,” Robertson said.
Sabre has been a key partner for Qantas, having been one of the first global distribution systems to offer the airline’s NDC content back in 2021. Under the renewed agreement, Sabre-connected agents will continue to have access to both traditional EDIFACT and NDC offers from Qantas, providing a comprehensive suite of booking options.
Chris Wilding, Senior Vice President of Air Distribution at Sabre Travel Solutions, expressed his satisfaction with the extended partnership. “We’re thrilled that Qantas continues to trust Sabre as their strategic distribution partner. Our commitment is to empower travel agents with greater flexibility, personalization, and choice, helping them meet the evolving demands of the travel industry,” Wilding said.
The renewed agreement marks a continued commitment from both Sabre and Qantas to deliver a more dynamic and adaptable marketplace for global travel.
