Deputy Minister Manaporn Charoensri revealed that between December 27 and January 2, the total number of passengers across 26 airports under the DoA’s management reached 319,275, a rise of 14.12% compared to the same period last year.
The DoA oversees domestic airports such as those in Krabi, Khon Kaen, and Lampang, while major international gateways like Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang, and Phuket airports are under the management of Airports of Thailand (AoT).
Manaporn stated that the public transport services connecting airports to cities and tourist attractions were operating smoothly, with passengers expressing satisfaction with the services. This includes initiatives such as the “Living Airports” project, which enhances airport environments by incorporating local products and heritage elements.
In light of the growing number of passengers, the Ministry has instructed the DoA to take further actions to assist travelers and ensure their safety.
