New UK Travel Rule: Australian Tourists Now Need Digital Permit (ETA)

A new travel requirement for Australian tourists heading to the UK is now in effect. As of January 8, Australians must obtain a digital permit called the Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) before traveling to the UK.

The ETA scheme, which will cost approximately $20, is part of the UK Government’s effort to “digitise the UK border and immigration system.”
