WestJet Airlines, based in Calgary, Canada, has announced it will resume direct flights between Calgary and Mexico City starting in the summer of 2025.
The route, last flown in 2019, connects two of North America’s main business hubs. The new service is expected to not only strengthen business ties but also boost tourism and cargo traffic between the two countries. The flights are set to begin on May 14, 2025, from Calgary, and on May 15, 2025, from Mexico City. Initially, the flights will operate five times a week from both airports.
This marks an expansion of WestJet’s presence in Mexico, where the airline already serves 13 cities.
