Hawaiian Airlines is set to end its premium airport service, including the exclusive Apartment 1929 lounge, just one year after launching it. The service, introduced in early 2024, will be discontinued on March 14, 2025.
Apartment 1929 offered a luxury experience at Honolulu Airport, with expedited check-in, TSA fast-tracking, personalized service, and access to a private lounge. The lounge featured indoor and outdoor seating, shower facilities, and a curated pre-ordered menu with cocktails from Bar Leather Apron, a James Beard Award-winning bar in Honolulu. The service was available to passengers who booked the premium offering, starting at $500 per couple, and also included car service to and from the plane, curbside greeting, TSA priority escort, and baggage transfer to Honolulu hotels.
The decision to discontinue the service comes as Hawaiian Airlines, now under the ownership of Alaska Air Group, shifts its focus to a new lounge strategy. While the new lounges are expected to open by 2027, premium travelers may find their options limited in the meantime.
