Phu Quoc, which was named the world’s second most beautiful island in 2024, is now among the five fastest-growing travel destinations in Southeast Asia. This recognition comes from the popular travel news platform Travel Off Path.
The island offers a diverse experience, from its lush jungle and scenic nature trails to the bustling town of Duong Dong, which is home to a vibrant night market. Visitors can also enjoy an amusement park with thrilling rides and enchanting princess castles.
Phu Quoc’s appeal is growing, with the island’s airport seeing a 185.2% increase in passengers in January 2025. This surge, which added over 108,000 seats, is partly driven by the region’s visa-friendly policies.
In addition to Phu Quoc, the other destinations on Travel Off Path’s list include Phuket and Bangkok in Thailand, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, and Singapore.
