Oswego Mayor Robert A. Corradino issued a Travel Advisory on Monday afternoon due to the expected arrival of high winds, blowing snow, and poor visibility in the coming days.
“We are expecting very cold temperatures, high winds, and snow over the next 48 hours, which could lead to zero visibility conditions,” Mayor Corradino said in a news release. “For the safety of our residents and workforce, we are advising against unnecessary travel, especially when the lake effect snow band impacts the City of Oswego.”
Describing the weather as a “dynamic situation,” Mayor Corradino praised the Department of Public Works (DPW) for its efforts in snow removal. He also urged residents to avoid parking on city streets to allow DPW crews to work more efficiently.
