In a strategic partnership aimed at bolstering Hong Kong’s position as a global hub for sports, arts, and culture, Cathay Pacific has been named the exclusive “Founding Travel Partner” of the Kai Tak Sports Park (KTSP). This collaboration, announced on February 24, 2025, at the Health and Wellness Centre in Kai Tak Sports Park, marks an exciting chapter for both organizations as they work together to promote major global events and initiatives in Hong Kong.
Key Highlights of the Partnership
Immersive Aviation Experience: As part of this partnership, Cathay will introduce the first aviation-themed immersive experience in the Greater Bay Area. A major element of this experience will be the Cathay-branded West Bridge, which will connect the Sung Wong Toi MTR station to Kai Tak Stadium. The bridge aims to engage the local community and remind visitors of Cathay’s roots in Hong Kong, fostering a connection between the airline and the city.
Supporting Key Projects: Cathay Pacific is also sponsoring several major projects at the park, including “Rong Rong Square” and the exhibition “Veni, Vidi, Vici”, enhancing the cultural and recreational offerings at KTSP.
Hong Kong Sevens: Cathay Pacific is proud to support the Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens 2025, which will be held at KTSP from March 28 to March 30. This prestigious event will mark the first time the Hong Kong Sevens is hosted at the new sports park, drawing international attention and further positioning Hong Kong as a top destination for major sporting events.
This partnership exemplifies Cathay Pacific’s commitment to elevating the visitor experience while promoting sports, culture, and tourism in Hong Kong.
