The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) hosted the Korea Transit Tour Seminar 2025 at Lanson Place Mall of Asia on March 14, drawing 150 key partners from travel agencies, airlines, and media. The seminar aimed to promote Korea’s transit tourism offerings and strengthen collaboration between travel professionals to attract Filipino travelers to Korea.
Park Younghee, director of KTO Manila, opened the event with a warm welcome, acknowledging the strong partnerships developed with the Philippine travel sector over the years. Following him, KTO assistant manager Jen Uy shared valuable insights into the rising trend of transit tourism, particularly among Filipino travelers.
Uy noted that in 2024, Incheon International Airport welcomed around 620,000 Filipino transit passengers, with the Philippines ranking second in transit tourism, accounting for 12.4% of total passengers.
