Qantas is expanding its free and fast Wi-Fi service across its international fleet this year, fulfilling one of the top requests from Australian business travelers. After successfully equipping its domestic fleet with fast, free Wi-Fi, the airline is now fitting its international aircraft with Viasat antennas, beginning with Airbus A330s serving Asian destinations late last year.
Next in line for Wi-Fi installation are Boeing 787s, Airbus A380s, and A330-200s. The airline’s new Boeing 787s and A350s will come Wi-Fi ready.
Tom Walley, Managing Director of Corporate Traveller Global, stated that fast, free Wi-Fi on international flights directly addresses the most frequent request from business travelers.
35% of Travel Managers identified inflight Wi-Fi as the most crucial upgrade airlines should offer for business travelers in 2025 and beyond.
