With spring break approaching, travelers who haven’t booked their trips yet can still find great deals. According to travel expert Katy Nastro, many people assume their dream destinations are out of budget, but there are surprisingly affordable international options available.
To score the best deals, Nastro suggests travelers be flexible with their destination and departure dates. Adjusting these factors can significantly increase the chances of finding discounts.
One strategy she recommends is a two-in-one getaway. “For example, you can fly to Europe via Iceland,” Nastro said. “Spend a few days in Reykjavik and then take a low-cost flight to another European city.”
At Baltimore/Washington International Airport (BWI), round-trip tickets for destinations in April and May are priced as low as $400 to just over $500. Off-peak travel times are contributing to lower fares.
