Travel platform Klook has joined in on the fun of April Fools’ Day with a playful announcement of unusual travel experiences.
In a recent Instagram post, Klook revealed a range of quirky activities. Among them was the opportunity to rent the most sought-after bench in Tokyo during this season’s cherry blossom viewing. They also introduced a “snail trail expedition,” where participants could hunt for snails and create their own mucin-based face masks.
The company didn’t stop there. Klook also offered airport transfers, but with a twist—a ‘hunky’ man doing the work. Other unique experiences included sculpting a wax figure of oneself in London and designing couture buttons in Paris.
This isn’t the first time Klook has used humor in its campaigns. Last year, the company promoted its Klook Protect service with a playful campaign called “The Secret Little Agency.”
Klook has recently raised US$100 million in funding from Vitruvian Partners, a growth investment firm, as part of its expansion in the Asia-Pacific region.
