Low-cost airline IndiGo announced a new partnership with hospitality company Accor on Wednesday, offering additional benefits to members of both companies’ loyalty programs: IndiGo’s BluChip and Accor’s ALL (Accor Live Limitless).
Members of either loyalty program will now have the ability to earn and redeem points for both flights and hotel stays. For instance, IndiGo passengers can use their points at Accor hotels, while Accor members can apply their points toward IndiGo flights. This collaboration aims to enhance the travel experience by providing more opportunities to use loyalty points.
The two companies also plan to collaborate on marketing efforts and explore further ways to expand their partnership in the future.
IndiGo’s CEO, Pieter Elbers, noted that the move aligns with the airline’s strategy to strengthen its newly launched loyalty program. Since its debut in November 2024, the BluChip program has already gained over 2 million members. “This partnership marks the next step in reinforcing our loyalty program by exploring and developing strategic partnerships,” Elbers said.
Accor’s CEO, Sebastien Bazin, described the partnership as a natural fit between the travel and hospitality industries, emphasizing the synergy between the two sectors.
In related news, Accor is also working with hospitality chain Treebo and InterGlobe Enterprises to expand its Ibis and Mercure hotel brands across India. Under a special agreement, Treebo will help manage and open new Ibis and Mercure locations, with plans for 10 new Mercure hotels already in the works.
