Beirut, August 1, 2024 – The Indian Embassy in Lebanon has issued a cautionary advisory urging Indian citizens to avoid all non-essential travel to Lebanon due to escalating regional tensions.
In response to recent developments, including a rocket attack on the Golan Heights, the embassy has advised Indians to exercise heightened vigilance, limit their movements, and maintain regular contact with the Indian Embassy in Beirut.
The advisory, shared on X (formerly Twitter), emphasized the seriousness of the situation, stating: “In light of recent escalations in the region, Indian nationals are strongly advised to avoid all non-essential travel to Lebanon.”
The embassy’s directive reflects growing concerns over the safety of travelers amid the deteriorating security situation in the area.
