MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The World Travel Awards (WTA) has honored Australia’s top travel agencies, online travel agencies (OTAs), and tour operators during its Asia & Oceania Gala Ceremony, which marked the first WTA event held in the Philippines.
Graham Cooke, Founder of the World Travel Awards, praised the winners for their outstanding contributions to the tourism industry. “Our winners exemplify excellence in tourism, and I extend my congratulations to each one for elevating the standards across Asia and Oceania,” Cooke remarked.
Christina Garcia Frasco, Secretary of the Philippines Department of Tourism, emphasized the significance of the awards. “This year’s World Travel Awards not only celebrates excellence in tourism but also highlights the resilience, creativity, and collaborative spirit of the global tourism community,” Frasco noted.
Australian winners included Flight Centre, recognized as Oceania’s and Australia’s Leading Travel Agency; Webjet, named Oceania’s and Australia’s Leading Online Travel Agency; Corporate Travel Management, honored as Oceania’s and Australia’s Leading Travel Management Company for 2024; and Inspiring Vacations, awarded as Oceania’s and Australia’s Leading Tour Operator.
