A recent survey has uncovered a disconnect between corporate advocacy and the actual use of travel assistance apps among North American business travelers. Although companies strongly encourage the use of these apps to enhance safety during work trips, adoption rates remain low.
Commissioned by World Travel Protection, the survey shows that while a significant majority of companies endorse travel safety apps (83% in the U.S. and 69% in Canada), only about 30% of business travelers have downloaded such an app (30% in the U.S. and 28% in Canada). Furthermore, nearly one-third of respondents either rejected the recommended app (31% in the U.S. and 17% in Canada) or have not downloaded it (22% in the U.S. and 23% in Canada).
