The U.S. State Department has issued a “Level 2” travel advisory for Italy, urging American citizens to “exercise increased caution” due to terrorism concerns.
The advisory highlights the potential for terrorist attacks with minimal warning and notes that targets could include tourist sites, transportation hubs, shopping malls, government facilities, hotels, entertainment venues, places of worship, parks, major events, schools, and airports.
