Google and Sabre recently held a virtual event to highlight advancements in their four-year partnership, focusing on innovations in artificial intelligence (AI) and generative AI (GenAI) that aim to transform the travel industry. The event featured insights from key leaders at both companies on how AI can personalize and streamline travel experiences.
Sundar Narasimham, Senior Vice President of Labs Technology & Platform at Sabre, stressed the increasing significance of AI in travel. He referenced estimates predicting that AI could generate over $28 billion in global revenue, revealing that 74% of travel organizations are adjusting their strategies to integrate AI. Narasimham noted that effective AI implementation relies on robust data sets to deliver the seamless, personalized experiences that travelers now expect.
Since their partnership began in 2020, Sabre and Google have collaborated to utilize Google’s cloud and AI capabilities. Their joint efforts have led to the development of Sabre Travel AI, which supports innovative solutions such as Sabre’s Offer and Order platform, SabreMosaic, and enhancements in customer care.
