A recent study from Edith Cowan University in Australia suggests that traveling could help counteract the effects of aging. While the joy of travel is widely recognized, this research indicates that it may also contribute to a more youthful appearance and improved well-being.
The study highlights various aspects of travel—such as meeting new people, experiencing better sleep, engaging in new life experiences, and participating in relaxing activities like yoga and spa treatments—that could collectively help combat premature aging.
“Tourism isn’t just about leisure and recreation; it can significantly enhance both physical and mental health,” noted Fangli Hu, the lead author of the study. With these findings in mind, it may be time to advocate for additional vacation days to support your health and well-being.
