Beijing’s embassy in Pakistan has advised its citizens to reconsider travel plans to the country in the wake of a suicide attack near Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport, which resulted in the deaths of two Chinese nationals and injured several others.
In a statement released on Monday, the embassy specifically cautioned against travel to the provinces of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, highlighting a rise in attacks on Chinese workers and projects in these regions. Security officials are currently investigating the scene of the attack as concerns grow for the safety of Chinese personnel in Pakistan.
