BRUSSELS, Oct 10 (Reuters) – The European Union has postponed the rollout of a new biometric entry-check system for non-EU citizens, originally set for November 10. This decision follows concerns from Germany, France, and the Netherlands regarding the readiness of their border computer systems.
EU Home Affairs Commissioner Ylva Johansson confirmed that “Nov. 10 is no longer on the table,” and while no new timeline has been established, discussions about a phased implementation are underway.
