LUDLOW, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – As the Columbus Day weekend comes to a close, attention is turning to traffic conditions for the upcoming winter holidays. Despite heavy highway traffic observed over the weekend, experts predict a decrease in the number of drivers on the road during the winter season.

Reports indicated multiple instances of vehicles becoming immobile and significant traffic jams. One observer noted, “On the opposite side of the highway, we saw vehicles stopped and not moving at all,” highlighting the congestion experienced during peak travel times.

While this holiday weekend saw heavy traffic, travel experts are optimistic, indicating that no major delays are anticipated on the roads for the upcoming winter holidays.
