Wealthsimple, the online robo-advisory and stock trading platform, has unveiled a new global travel eSIM product in Canada, collaborating with Telecom-as-a-Service (TaaS) provider Gigs.
This launch is part of Wealthsimple’s Lifestyle Rewards program and is accessible to customers who hold over $200,000 in assets. The eSIM can be easily installed via the Wealthsimple app, providing connectivity in more than 140 countries and allowing users to avoid roaming charges by functioning alongside either a primary physical SIM or an eSIM.
Wealthsimple offers a 10GB travel eSIM option specifically for its Premium and Generation customers. This feature leverages Gigs’ TaaS, enabling businesses to seamlessly integrate branded mobile plans into their services without the complexities of direct carrier partnerships.
