Vietnamese Travelers Plan to Maintain Strong Demand for Travel in 2025, Survey Shows
Demand for travel among Vietnamese people is expected to remain robust in 2025, despite ongoing economic challenges. A recent survey conducted by online travel platform Agoda found that 90% of Vietnamese respondents plan to allocate at least as much for travel in 2025 as they did in 2024.
According to the survey, which involved over 1,000 participants from 11 Asian markets, 29% of Vietnamese travelers plan to increase their travel budgets for next year, while 61% intend to keep their budgets the same as this year.
When it comes to travel frequency, 86% of Vietnamese respondents said they plan to take at least as many trips in 2025 as they did in 2024. Only 14% indicated that they would reduce the number of trips.
Lam Vu, Country Director of Agoda Vietnam, commented, “Despite financial pressures, Vietnamese travelers continue to prioritize meaningful experiences with family and friends, placing travel above other discretionary expenses.”
Vu also noted that there is a strong desire to explore both domestic and international destinations, reflecting the growing demand for adventure and value-driven travel experiences.
In the first 10 months of 2024, Vietnam welcomed over 100 million domestic visitors, maintaining numbers comparable to last year.
