by Mary

Emirates has revealed its busiest travel days this Christmas, as millions prepare to travel for the festive season. According to the airline, Dubai International Airport (DXB) will see over 89,000 passengers departing daily during peak travel periods this year—up from over 75,000 last year.

The busiest travel days will occur between Thursday, December 12, and Sunday, December 15, followed by another peak period from Friday, December 20, to Sunday, December 22. Emirates also predicts that the days leading up to New Year’s Eve, from Friday, December 27, to Sunday, December 29, will see high volumes of passengers.

Arrive Early: Emirates recommends arriving at the airport up to three hours before your flight to avoid the last-minute rush.

Check In Early: Travelers departing from Dubai can check in their luggage up to 24 hours before their flight. This allows them to bypass long queues on the day of travel.

Use Emirates City Check-In: If you’re near the DIFC area, drop your bags at the Emirates City Check-In and Travel Store in ICD Brookfield Place, where you can check in from 24 hours to four hours before departure.

Home Check-In: For added convenience, Emirates customers in Dubai and Sharjah can opt for home check-in services. This allows travelers to complete the check-in process from the comfort of their home, hotel, or office, with DUBZ agents taking the luggage to the airport.

This service is free for First Class customers and Skywards Platinum Members, and can be booked at least 24 hours in advance.

Finally, passengers are reminded to ensure their baggage complies with Emirates’ requirements and contains no restricted items, helping to prevent delays at the airport.

By following these tips, travelers can enjoy a more relaxed and efficient airport experience, leaving more time to enjoy the holiday season.
