On December 7, the airline received an Airbus A320neo, followed by a Boeing 787-10 on December 8. Another Airbus A320neo is expected to join the fleet by the end of the month.
These new aircraft will provide over 100,000 additional seats to accommodate the peak travel period during Vietnam’s largest annual festival.
With these additions, Vietnam Airlines’ total fleet will reach 103 aircraft by 2024. This includes 31 wide-body aircraft, such as Boeing 787-9, Boeing 787-10, and Airbus A350.
A representative from the airline stated that the Boeing 787-10 will mainly be used on domestic routes and flights to Northeast Asia. Meanwhile, the Airbus A320neo will be dedicated exclusively to domestic services.
This fleet expansion not only supports the increased travel demand during the holiday season but also underscores Vietnam Airlines’ commitment to enhancing its service quality and offering passengers a modern and comfortable travel experience.
