Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) is preparing for a surge in holiday travelers starting this week. With peak travel days between Friday, December 20 and Tuesday, December 24, the airport is expecting around 5,000 outbound passengers per day.
Brian Sprenger, President and CEO of Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport, advises travelers to be prepared for the busy season and shared three essential tips to ensure a smooth airport experience:
Bring Your Patience: “Travel during the holiday season can be hectic, so it’s important to stay patient,” Sprenger said.
Arrive Early: With the high volume of travelers, Sprenger recommends arriving ahead of time to navigate through check-in, security, and potential delays.
Leave Gifts Unwrapped: For those traveling with Christmas presents, Sprenger advises against wrapping gifts in case TSA needs to inspect them.
Sprenger expects the airport to surpass last year’s record for passenger traffic. By the end of 2024, approximately 2.6 million people are anticipated to have traveled through BZN, a 7% increase over last year’s total.
