Cruise lines are offering flexible cancellation policies for passengers affected by the wildfires in the Los Angeles area.
Norwegian Cruise Line has announced it will waive cancellation fees for guests scheduled to sail in January and February. In a statement on its website, the company expressed its sympathy for those impacted by the fires. “Our hearts and thoughts are with all of those affected by the wildfires in the greater Los Angeles region,” the statement read. “While we currently do not have any ships sailing from the region, many of our guests call this area home.”
Affected passengers will receive a future cruise credit for the full amount of their paid fare, allowing them to reschedule their trips when they are ready. Additionally, Norwegian Cruise Line has pledged a $50,000 donation to the American Red Cross to support those in need.
