Marrakech continues to captivate tourists and attract recognition from leading travel platforms, including TripAdvisor. In its annual Travelers’ Choice Awards, TripAdvisor named Marrakech one of the “Best of the Best Travel Destinations” for 2025, ranking it as the 8th best destination globally.
The platform highlighted Marrakech as a “magical place,” drawing attention to the city’s vibrant local markets, stunning gardens, historical palaces, and impressive mosques. TripAdvisor encouraged visitors to wander through the historic Medina’s intimate courtyards and winding alleyways, which can take up an entire day of exploration. Additionally, the site recommended visiting the Jardin Majorelle to experience the “inner peace” of the city’s serene garden.
Marrakech’s historic mosques also feature prominently in the city’s appeal, with the travel website urging tourists to take in their beauty.
According to the latest data from the Marrakech Safi Regional Tourism Council, the city welcomed nearly four million visitors in 2024. The region also recorded over 12 million overnight stays, with an impressive average occupancy rate exceeding 72%.
