Sydney commuters are being advised to plan for extra travel time as the city’s rail network faces significant delays and cancellations on Wednesday due to industrial action.
Trains are expected to run at speeds 23 km/h slower than usual on tracks where the normal speed is 80 km/h or higher, starting from Wednesday morning.
Several lines will experience major disruptions, with cancellations and service gaps of over 30 minutes, particularly on the T1 North Shore and Western, T4 Eastern Suburbs and Illawarra, and T8 Airport and South lines. Commuters are urged to check schedules and allow extra time for their journeys.
