China Southern Airlines marked the start of this year’s Spring Festival travel rush, or “chunyun,” with a special event aboard its C919 aircraft on Tuesday. The airline deployed all three of its C919 jets to operate 10 flights across four routes linking Guangzhou with Hangzhou, Shanghai, Haikou, and Chengdu.
This year’s chunyun sees a greater presence of the domestically developed C919 aircraft, highlighting China’s progress in technological and industrial innovation. The C919 jets serve as a symbol of the country’s growing capabilities in the aviation sector.
