A weather warning has been issued for large areas of England and parts of Wales due to dense fog, which is expected to create hazardous travel conditions. The warning, which covers regions from Exeter to Oxford, Birmingham, Peterborough, and York, is in place until 11am on Thursday, 16 January.
The fog is expected to cause slower driving times, delays to bus and train services, and potential disruptions to air travel. The Met Office has warned that some of the UK’s busiest airports may experience delays, recalling similar disruptions seen during the Christmas period when thick fog affected airports such as Heathrow, Luton, and Manchester.
