In a significant move to harness the power of technology and innovation, Kerala Tourism has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM). This landmark collaboration aims to integrate cutting-edge technological advancements into Kerala’s flourishing tourism industry, promising to reshape the state’s tourism landscape.
The MoU was officially signed during a ceremony held at Mascot Hotel, with Tourism Director Smt. Sikha Surendran and KSUM CEO Shri Anoop Ambika putting pen to paper, in the presence of Tourism Minister Shri P. A. Mohamed Riyas.
Tourism Minister Riyas emphasized the potential impact of this partnership, stating, “By integrating innovative ideas and technology from the state’s robust startup ecosystem, Kerala can accelerate the growth of its tourism sector, especially in the context of our goal to increase foreign tourist footfall.” He further added, “This financial year will witness technology-driven innovations in tourism, and this MoU will act as a catalyst for that transformation.”
The collaboration aims to provide seamless travel experiences and attract a larger influx of tourists, both domestic and international. With the help of Kerala’s vibrant startup ecosystem, the initiative will focus on developing innovative tourism products, which will be presented to the global market.
