The ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Team is monitoring a potential winter storm set to impact Mid-Missouri starting Wednesday morning and lasting into Thursday morning. A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for areas from Macon to Boonville, extending west to Brunswick and Sedalia. A Stormtrack Weather Alert Day is expected to be activated from Wednesday morning through the evening.

The storm is predicted to bring accumulating snow as low pressure tracks south toward the Ohio Valley. Mid-Missouri will remain on the colder side of the system, with snowfall expected to begin before sunrise in eastern Kansas and western Missouri, moving east throughout the day.
