Singapore’s tourism sector has demonstrated solid growth, with international visitor arrivals (IVA) increasing by 21% compared to 2023, reaching 16.5 million. This surge highlights the sector’s recovery and growth in the post-pandemic era.
In particular, Australia and New Zealand have contributed significantly to this positive performance, with visitor numbers reaching historic highs and surpassing pre-pandemic levels seen in 2019. Australia, in particular, stood out as one of the top three markets for Tourism Receipts in 2024.
Melissa Ow, Chief Executive of the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), attributed the strong performance to the industry’s efforts in refreshing tourism products, enhancing experiences, and fostering new collaborations throughout the year. “These initiatives have elevated Singapore’s destination appeal, boosting the sector’s competitiveness and capabilities,” she noted.
