Ho Chi Minh City is aiming to establish itself as a premier international destination by focusing on MICE tourism (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions). The city sees this sector as a key driver in attracting both domestic and international tourists as related industries recover and grow sustainably.
With a goal of welcoming 8.5 million international visitors in 2025, the city’s tourism strategy places MICE tourism at the forefront. This sector is seen as a vital part of Ho Chi Minh City’s tourism growth and its broader ambition to develop tourism as a sustainable economic force.
To encourage MICE tourism, the municipal Department of Tourism has introduced incentives for group travelers. In early February 2025, the city welcomed 200 visitors from India’s Cryptriva Group, marking the official start of the year’s MICE tourism efforts.
