Yellow Balloon announced on the 20th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Runable to develop unique travel products catering to special interest tourism. The agreement was finalized during a ceremony at Yellow Balloon’s headquarters in Jung-gu, Seoul, on the 19th, with key officials from both companies, including Oh Kyung-hyun, head of Yellow Balloon Channel Sales Division, and Ryu Young-ho, CEO of Runable, in attendance.
The partnership will focus on the joint planning and operation of special interest tourism (SIT) products, including marathon and rail travel packages. The collaboration also aims to enhance marketing and promotional efforts through platform usage and offer cooperative support for product development. The goal is to create distinctive travel experiences tailored to global runners and other niche travel markets.
“The growing trend in travel consumption is shifting towards ‘special purpose travel,’ which reflects personal interests beyond traditional tourism,” said Oh Kyung-hyun. “Through this agreement with Runable, we anticipate introducing innovative products that blend education and travel, providing an elevated travel experience.”
