Wintergreen Travel, a travel agency based in Fort Smith, N.W.T., is working to make booking travel in the North simpler and more accessible. Founded by Rashmi Patel and Mildred Martin two years ago, the agency identified a significant gap in managing medical travel within the region and set out to provide a solution.
Building on their initial success, Wintergreen Travel is expanding its services to include not just medical travel, but also leisure and work travel. The agency is developing an online platform aimed at offering a “northern version of Expedia,” which will streamline travel bookings for all types of travel needs across the territory.
This new platform is expected to be a game-changer for Northerners, offering an easy-to-use, comprehensive solution for booking flights, accommodations, and other travel services, all tailored to the unique needs of the region. By simplifying the booking process, Wintergreen Travel hopes to improve access to travel, making it easier for residents to manage their journeys, whether for medical reasons or personal purposes.
