Singapore is on track to break its all-time record for international arrivals this year, outpacing major Southeast Asian destinations like Thailand and the Philippines, according to the World Travel & Tourism Council.

Latest projections show international arrivals to Singapore could reach nearly 16 million in 2025, marking a 9.6% increase from pre-pandemic levels in 2019.

India is driving a significant tourism surge, with arrivals expected to grow from just over 1.11 million in 2019 to 1.25 million in 2025 – the highest ever recorded. Additionally, despite a slow recovery in outbound Chinese travel, Singapore is set to welcome nearly 2.8 million visitors from China this year, setting the stage for continued growth in 2026.

Thailand is also set to break its own records with a 5% growth in international arrivals, while the Philippines is expected to nearly reach its pre-pandemic levels from 2019. Malaysia is forecast to see a 10% rise in visitor numbers, surpassing its previous high from 2016.
