Macao’s tourism officials made a big splash at the ASTINDO Travel Fair 2025 by bringing a delegation of local integrated resort enterprises, airlines, and even the city’s tourism mascot, MAK MAK, to the event.
The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) set up an impressive Macao Pavilion to showcase the region’s unique “Tourism +” experiences, emphasizing its appeal to Indonesian and Southeast Asian travelers. The pavilion was designed with Portuguese tiles and patterned stone pavement, reflecting the city’s distinct Sino-Portuguese heritage.
Macao’s rich history as a UNESCO World Heritage site, its status as a Creative City of Gastronomy, and its vibrant events and leisure offerings were all prominently featured. The exhibition highlighted the city’s colorful energy and diverse experiences available to visitors.
MGTO also hosted four interactive sessions to engage the public, complete with lion dance and Portuguese folk dance performances to draw in more attendees. Additionally, the Office worked alongside participating businesses to promote Macao’s tourism products and inspire potential visitors to explore this unique destination.
