The event successfully spotlighted Taiwan’s scenic cycling routes, stunning hiking trails, and immersive cultural activities, solidifying the island’s position as a premier destination for adventure seekers.
Sylvia Lee, Director of the TTA San Francisco Office, emphasized the strong connection Canadians have with outdoor leisure activities. The booth showcased Taiwan’s Cycling Route No. 1 and ten major cycling destinations, encouraging travelers to explore the island on two wheels. Lee remarked, “Taiwan’s diverse landscapes and vibrant ecological environment make it a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. Cycling through local towns lets visitors connect deeply with Taiwan’s authentic culture and breathtaking natural beauty.”
The Taiwan booth became a major attraction at the event, with staff from China Airlines, EVA Air, Lion Travel, Super Value Tours, and One Dream Travel engaging visitors. Interactive displays and exclusive Year of the Snake-themed lanterns from the Taiwan Lantern Festival helped draw crowds, while offering a sneak peek into the 2026 Taiwan Lantern Festival in Chiayi County—an event inviting Canadian travelers to witness one of Taiwan’s most dazzling annual celebrations firsthand.
Taiwan’s popularity among North American travelers continues to grow, with visitor numbers from the region surging to 763,000 in 2024—an impressive 23% increase from 2023. Canada remains Taiwan’s second-largest source of visitors from the Americas, showcasing the country’s appeal with its rich culture, seamless transportation, and renowned hospitality.
At the show, travel partners unveiled exclusive adventure packages tailored for Canadian travelers. Super Value Tours spotlighted Taiwan’s west coast with cycling and tea plantation experiences, including serene visits to Alishan and Sun Moon Lake. Lion Travel introduced new railway adventures, featuring the “Haifeng (Ocean Breeze)” and “Shanlan (Mountain Mist)” trains. Meanwhile, One Dream Travel captivated visitors with a nine-day Cycling Route No. 1 tour, offering an unparalleled opportunity to explore Taiwan’s landscapes by bike.
