In celebration of International Women’s Day 2025, Qantas and Jetstar are taking to the skies with over 50 flights operated entirely by women, highlighting the contributions of women in aviation. The initiative aims to inspire the next generation of girls and women to consider careers in aviation, especially in roles traditionally dominated by men.
From today, more than 250 female professionals, including pilots, cabin crew, engineers, and airport and operations center team members, will operate flights across Qantas, QantasLink, and Jetstar networks. The flights will cover over 20 routes in Australia, New Zealand, and Asia.
The first flight, a Jetstar service from Adelaide to Sydney, departs this morning, followed by several more flights throughout the week, including routes from Sydney to Hobart, Brisbane to Geraldton, Cairns to Melbourne, Sydney to Perth, Auckland to Christchurch, and Tokyo to Fukuoka.
